Marco- The Great Guitarist: Episode Six

                                                    THE STRANGE LETTER

There was wailing and lamentation in Femi`s house.Marco’s dancing had quicky transform into mourning.
He couldn’t believed that his beloved father at met his demise at the hands of those wicked kidnappers because they couldn’t provide the so−called `knowledgeFox’ software. “How could people be so wicked?”he thought. The death of his beloved father made him to develop memories of his mother.
His heart was broken into pieces,it was only Elizabeth who could comfort him. She stayed with him all day and night.Femi’s friends, relatives, business partners and even business competitors flocked in.
They all came to render their sincere condolence to the bereaved  while some came for his massive property.
The letter that was sent by those wicked kidnappers came as a great shock to Marco and the entire household.Miss Panda and other Femi’s employees was not able to bear the bitter reality that their kind boss, who was their only source of livelihood was gone forever. “Nevertheles, they should havesent his corpse so we can give him a befitting burial, instead of killing him and throwing him into the river,”lamented one of Femi`s employees.
There was continous swearing for the kidnappers in the sitting room.people care less about where Femi was going to spend his eternity. Some relations had arleady started to calculate their share of his property.
Mr.Ade could not believe that his son had so much wealth. He had never visited him since he returned from Holland. He was less concerned about how he would search for the corpse of his late son,he cared more about the property and money his eldest son had left behind. Moreover, he could marry more younger damsel to replenish his aged blood,he thought while shedding crocodile tears. “My london pikin come make I carry you,”he stretched his arms towards Marco.
Marco declined,he rather went to meet Aunty Charity because he was not farmiliar with the old man.
Seven days later, everything in the house changed.Marco became a slave inside his own father’s palace. The once nice Miss Charity became very wicked to him.Mr. Ade was even more lenient compared to Miss Charity.Mr.Ade was only concerned about his father’s wealth.
Marco saw this as an opportunity to drop out of school because no one was willing to pay his expensive school fees. He got a job in one of the largest supermarket in that town,so that he would be able to raise money to buy musical equipments for the new crew that he was planning to create. He saved the money that he got from selling his father’s golden watch and pen in the bank. He  wanted to use it to travel to America or to Italy to meet his grandparents and step-sisters.
Often, Miss Charity and her father would order the cook not to give him any food.
However, Miss Panda had watch Marco grow, therefore she felt pity for him.Miss Panda, who was a Danish−German lady hired by his father from Amsterdam always succeededin sneaking some food to him. She spoke french a little. Most times,Marco communicated with her in french  to prevent his wicked grandfather and aunty from understanding.
Marco always played his guitar anytime,he was sad and heart broken.
One day,Marco narrated his ordeal to Elizabeth. How he has been turned into slave in his father’s house.Elizabeth advised him and gave him a bible to always pray with.
One night,he began to scan through the pages and  some scriptures in the bible. His eyes caught a particular verse in the book of proverbs. Which stated:
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge;fools despise wisdom and instruction(proverb 1:7).
He underlined the word `knowledge’ and then he suddenly remembered about the `KnowledgeFox’. He quickly remembered how his father had valued and preachedabout the word knowledge.
“That should be the password,”he thought.
“Eureka!”he exclaimed as ran to where he had dropped the flashdrive. He took the flashdrive and booted the PC. He slowly inserted the flashdrive into one of the drives. It popped the same dialogue box as before,it was requesting for a password.Marco quickly typed the word `knowledge’ and it displayed his father’s company logo. It took him to another interface where he was allowed to explore the capabilty of KnowledgeFox.
“Wow! So I can receive expert advice pertaining to the field of Medicine,Science,Technology and Engineering,he thought. But why no Art?He asked himself.
“Hmm! My late father’s hatred for Art and Music also affected what he invented,”he lamented.
He surely needed to find a trusthworthy individual to help him keep the flashdrive very safe to prevent him being kidnapped like his late father. He ejected the flashdrive and hide it in a save place.
He felt bad that he wasn’t able to save his father with the siftware. Now that his father was dead, what use is the software now.
“I could travel to the United States and then sell KnowledgeFox to a high-tech company in silicon valley,”he thought.
    “Great idea!”he thought.
A lot of thoughts kept on passing through his juvenile mind as he rolled from one side of his bed to another side.
“Hmm! I need to give a trustworthy friend this flashdrive for safe keeping,”he thought. The only friend I know is Owen, but can I trust him when it comes to money”he contemplated.
“Eureka! Brilliant idea,”he hailed himself and slept off.
