Rotimi laughed aloud and said to the woman “Erelu, you are my posterity wife, and I have come to marry you and take you away with your loads from the village of Okobor”. Rotimi said. “By the way, where do you come from?” asked Erelu I came from the land of Odagbe and I am ready to see your parents to pay your bride price to them, and some entails.
Erelu was not fret but she was smiling towards it, because the issue was Erelu’s anticipation. Erelu took him to show the elders and introduce him to the people who were around when he came. “You are welcome young man, but please sit down” said one of the elders. “And which tribe are you from?” asked the elders. “I came all the way from the land of Odagbe,” Rotimi answered. “And what is your name?”   The elders asked. “My name is Rotimi”, he replied. “Rotimi I hope you have not married a beautiful woman like Erelu in the village of Odagbe” asked one of the elders. “No sir, Erelu is my posterity wife” said Rotimi. “Young man we just want to ask you one or two things about you, in order to know the type of humanity we are giving our daughter to. Because our daughter is not a second handed woman that messed around. She is a new modern type that has never been seduced by any man, since she was born in the village”. One of the elders noted.
“Our daughter is not wicked and you will enjoy her with her prestige. And if not God who said a woman shall marry her husband who she is interested. We would not have allowed her to marry you and leave us behind. In fact, God has made it possible for the both of you to marry each other.” One of the elders of the village said happily. In fact the elders are too vacoured, they called each other’s as the tradition demands to closely form a confabulation against the groom of the couple.
At such time, Erelu and her husband Rotimi were placed on a standard chair in the village square. The village elders did this as homage for them to ensure and to foster the young girls that are messing up themselves around the village.
When the men had concluded their issues, they whispered the groom to come forward to have their ultimatum prize about Erelu. Rotimi replied them with a soft voice, “Do you mean your ransom?” “Yes of course, God bless you our in-law” said the elders. Rotimi quickly stuff his right hand deep into his pocket of his native attire and shocked them with a sum of fifty thousand naira, Rotimi did not lagging about this, the elders were all consternations and exulted about Rotimi.
The elders immediately noticed Erelu to carry all her luggages and flock with her husband Rotimi. The people of the entire village of Okobor, they came together and prayed for the new couples, that they would come back here with a bouncing baby boy and she would not come here with empty hands. The couples vowed on them, Erelu and her husband added this advised tightly and left from the village of Okobor with white 504 Peugeot car, Rotimi’s mind was engrossed with happiness.  By the time they got home every one along the express way were looking at where the car was going and what was inside it. Immediately Rotimi stepped down from the car with a woman, everyone around him rushed in to corroborate, but pretending they came to appreciate him for the great done.
Although Rotimi did not give way to any of them to occupy but he chased them all away and took his wife with him and invaded into the room. And the issue spread all over the village like a wild fire for three days, that Rotimi brought a woman to his home. Therefore, the rumor cast everywhere in the village of Odagbe.
Rotimi felt that he would contact his brother and his sister whose name is Adukhe, and Ogie that he only had on earth, but none of them was around with Rotimi in the village. Then Rotimi phoned them at the same time to come to the village and see his new wife he had just got married to and he had also fixed when he will celebrate the new wife he had just married because he would need especially them to come from city with whatever they would had to support him and his wife Erelu to boost the occasion, and prevent people not to slander the occasion and the celebrant as well.
Unfortunately, Rotimi’s brother and sister both disappointed him, including his colleagues in which Rotimi was too disgusted. However, few of them that were not invited by anyone came to the occasion for the sake of God, and intrude Rotimi and his wife Erelu till done, the people were well entertaining as much as possible they deserved.
So the following morning, Rotimi and his wife Erelu thought out how they could reached those people that doesn’t discreting them in the village of Odagbe to hail them with extremely greetings. “Those people didn’t make me and my wife leering in the occasion. Let me show them more appreciations” Rotimi suggested to himself. He phoned papa Sunday, the town crier to come right away and instantly papa Sunday arrived there. “Do you know the very people at Okugbe that came to my occasion yesterday? Please help me on behalf of my family to go and inform them that God will bless them and their children in whatever way they wished. Then the crier took his gong and went out and announced everywhere in the village of Odagbe to the land of Okugbe where they were.
Thus papa Sunday eventually came back to Rotimi’s house with a gong on his hand to inform him the deed has been done. And Rotimi paid him enough money for expedient.
Few weeks after the celebration, Rotimi decided to go to his farm to see if his crops have been spoiling there. Since he got married he had not been able to check on his crops such as tomatoes and pepper. And whenever Rotimi is going to his farm, he didn’t want to take Erelu along, and Erelu will always be at home and relaxed and refreshed without pronouncing that she want to follow him to the farm one day. Except  the day when Erelu is diffident herself that she would go with her husband, Rotimi had never wore irate on his face on her, no matter the rigid condition that Rotimi is encountering in the village of Odagbe , in fact he loved her so much from the bottom of his mind.
At times, when Erelu is not in the good mood with malady. Rotimi was not callous but therefore handled the responsibility. Erelu should perform in the kitchen until Erelu became in the normal state of healthy.
